My vizio HD LCD tv has black streaks?
hi, my tv has some black streaks under the protective plastic, i bought it from a guy he said that he had wiped it off with a wet rag then these streak appeared under the protective screen(honest mistake). how do i fix this, can i some how get to the actual lcd screen? if so how, is there a guide? i need this fixed it is annoying, thx btw here is a picture of the streaks! http://s77.photobucket.com/albums/j64/owensdill/?action=view¤t=100_0439.jpg
Oh, that is NOT GOOD….
You can’t fix that cheaply, the whole LCD panel assembly is required, due to the fact that the assy cannot be separated and repaired.
Looks like someone pressed a little too hard during cleaning and those pixels are permanently damaged.
Yes, I’ve seen that several times before…
Now, the cost of the LCD panel is VERY CLOSE to the cost of a new LCD TV set, that’s why they generally aren’t repaired….
I sure hope you got that TV set for around $200 or less, if not, I’d stop payment on the check and deliver that TV back to the guy.
I’m sure he knew the repair cost when he sold it to you….
