The most important cause for this is probable blow out of LCD TV’s that has LED backlighting. After the first appear of the LED technology in Samsung at last LED technology will be the dominant technology in the market. And this claim is empowered by Samsung’s, Philips’s and Sony’s new models.

By being the first user of LED Technology it looks like Samsung has the advantage. But Sony may dominate by it two special models. These models are X4500 and 40ZX1. By having LED Technology X4500 is the strongest series of the brand. And 40ZX1 claims that it is the slimmest 40 inch TV. There are clues that LED Technology will be dominant at Philips’s road map for 2009. Europe launches suggest new multi screen details. Plus to all these LG announced 55” LH9500 LCD TV as its first LED model during CES (Consumer Electronics Show).

If all this LED Technology LCD TV’s makes good impression until this years end we will be able to say that we are going to have better usage LCD TV technology.

For 2009 the most interesting process in TV world is the 21:9 aspect ratio. The ultra wide screen TV probably in the first three month will show up in Philips’ list. This 56” TV will have 2560×1080 resolution. This is an interesting progress for home theaters.

It looks like Samsung will launch the first Yahoo Widget Engine self-available TV. After this event we can say that the entire concept will get wider. The thing that makes Widget Engine this interesting is that the TV’s will be interactive with internet services and internet content including XML and JavaScript. The newest Samsung TV’s will support the internet applications like Flicker, Yahoo, You Tube, eBay and Showtime.

Of course TV’s won’t be effective like PC browsers. But they will be one step forward than the online Samsung TV that shows news and weather report.

Samsung LCD TV will be exceptional by using Yahoo Widget Engine. And this will go on for a time like this. But it’s evident that others brands won’t wait for so long to do something like this.

During CES, Sharp introduced the first Blu-ray TV. And it looks like these TVs will be in the market until the end of the year. Dvd TV’s couldn’t sell much but it doesn’t mean this technology won’t be needed by end users.

Slimness is the most important feature for 2009 for the televisions. It looks like the numbers for this feature will be unbelievable. Sony 40ZX1 LCD TV provides this by 9.9 mm thickness at the slimmest point. This TV will keep the record for a time but Samsung’s LED TVs are not seemed to be far from this record.

As long as we speak about slimness we can’t bypass OLED technology. The first TV that using this technology is Sony XEL-1 and it is only 3mm thick.

If we focus on lifestyle design on LCD televisions we can see that a late progress is appearing: cable free HD connection. This technology comes with Sony 40ZX1 as we mentioned it the first OLED TV. This LCD TV uses high speed transfer system to share a 1080 video from HD source. The only thing you will do is to connect the HD Sources to the receiver. Thus with no need of any cable between TV and the source you can transfer all the signals to the TV. And there will be no quality lost on the picture. Who doesn’t want this?

LG looks like will launch the first wireless LED TV in the second period of the year. Panasonic was making the test of the wireless system of its own before the Christmas.

After all these mentioned details that are important or unimportant year 2009 will be interesting. Maybe we can’t say that the concepts are like revolution. But they are very important for plasma and LCD TV world.

Compared with the LCD, LED have great advantages on brightness, consumption, and refresh rate, etc. it support a wide vision up to 160°angle and could display a variety of text, numbers and animation information, at the same time broadcast television, video, VCD, DVD and other color video signals. The LED technology widens the range of application for a thinner, brighter, clearer display. On the contrary, LCD is more frequently applied to outdoor large screen display for its lower resolution.
Talking about the cost, LCD is a little bit expensive in that the technology, materials and equipment applied were imported, and the liquid crystal display indeed smaller injury than the LED.

LED TV Technology

LED means Light-Emitting Diode and unlike such a large amount of people think, it’s not a brand new TV technology. It’s just a different way to light the LCD – Liquid crystal. A liquid crystal is really a glass that actually works by manipulating the capacity of their segments (pixels) by varying the electrical signal. Each segment (pixel) provides a shutter to manage the quantity of light being passed through. Gaming consoles are standard in most homes these days. The fact is that children, and some adults too, absolutely love them. So much, in fact, that most would rather play them than play outside. Fun as they are though, they put your expensive TV at risk of getting damaged. Every year, thousands and thousands of expensive TVs are damaged as a result of children throwing, whether by accident or through anger, console controllers at TV screens. The scratches and cracks that occur are at best unsightly and annoying, and at worst render the TV unusable. Fixing a damaged TV screen is not as easy as replacing an internal circuit board inside the television. A cracked TV screen needs to be totally replaced. The cost for this is often as much as buying a whole new television. Some rich people can buy a new TV as when they want one but, for most of us, losing that much money is difficult, even tragic. The warranty you get from a retailer for your new TV, in most cases, does not cover accidental screen contact. Therefore, if you knock it by accident, or a child throws something at it, and the screen gets a crack or a scratch, the damage will be irreparable 90%+ of the time.

When I my children are playing on the console I notice they get very competitive and start moving closer to the screen. So, what I do is put an obstacle in their way which I tell them that they are not allowed to pass. If they do they know I will ban them from using the console for a week or two. This works very well, but it is not the best option. There is a solution though, which is to use a TV screen protector. These deceptively simple pieces of equipment, which are very cheap in comparison to the cost of repairing, or even replacing a TV, are there to take the damage, whilst the TV screen behind them remains untouched. A properly designed TV screen protector will be thick enough, 6MM or roughly 1/4″ of an inch. It should be held off the TV a distance to allow it to flex, 1/4″ or so. It also should be held securely onto the TV.

An ideal solution is a lip on the top of the TV screen protector that allows the TV to carry the weight of the TV screen protector and straps going around it to secure it on the TV. Occasional cleaning of a TV screen protector will be necessary, but will be needed less often than you are currently having to wipe down your TV screen now. They are also much easier to clean, as you do not have to worry about what you spray on them or how hard you wipe. The good news is that your picture quality won’t suffer at all as a result of using a TV screen protector. Unless you have your lights positioned oddly, there won’t be even the slightest glare showing up on the screen. The TV screen protector itself is optically clear and will not distort the image. After a while many people even forget that the screen protector is even on the TV.
